overview Our lab aims to understand how natural selection has contributed to the evolution of our species and to which extent past selection events impact present-day susceptibility to disease. Specifically, our group studies the genetic basis of differences in immune response among different individuals and human populations as well as the phenotypic evolution of immune responses in primates. Most projects in the lab are multidisciplinary and combine the use of cutting edge genomic techniques with immunological and evolutionary genetic tools.
